Quick specs: PII 300MHz processor 160MB RAM 5GB hard drive - DoD wiped and a fresh install of Windows 98 (Original CD included) internal floppy drive internal CD ROM drive The system itself runs fine. There is an issue with the display. When booting, the display is bright white. When connected to an external monitor, the display is great. When restoring defaults at boot time (hold FUN + F8, power on machine, and tap F11), the display comes back on normally. After a while, it goes back white. Sometimes, when resuming from standby, the display comes back on normally. See pictures. I have not researched it, but I believe it is either a corrupt BIOS affecting the display mode, or there is some other software/firmware issue. The fact that I can (temporarily) reset the display leads me to believe it is not a hardware issue. HOWEVER, I CANNOT GUARANTEE THIS. The lid latches are perfect. The case is pretty nice. It has only a few minor scuffs on the top and bottom. The hinges are tight, and the hinge covers are nice. No cracks anywhere on the case that I have found. The battery charges, and I have unplugged it for a few minutes, and it works like it's supposed to. The Windows battery meter shows 100%, though I don't know how long it will last. This would be a terrific unit for someone who wants to put a little research and time into it. Previously, it was used on a projector in a training class.
